Why do I use Farrari cloth
Over the 18 years that I have been making marquees one thing
depresses me more than anything else! When you open up a marquee
after the winter to find that it was packed away wet the year
before. A normal a marquee would be covered with black marks
and stains, however 502 seems to be the most resistant cloth
to staining and marking that I have found. I would not recommend
anybody leaves their marquee wrapped up wet over winter, however
if it does happen make sure that your marquee is made out
of Farrari 502.
What does precontraint mean?
During the manufacturing processes the base cloth is stretched
in both directions, this has two benefits, firstly the cloth
will not elongate when loaded, which is supposed to increase
the tension, reducing any flapping. Secondly the thickness
of the PVC covering over the yarns are much higher than
a conventional coated fabric. This means that any marquee
made out of 502 will last longer.

Because the cloth is tensioned the coating is thicker |
 |
Although the cloth feels thicker the covering is less. |
The table below will give an indication
of the colours. Please note that due to the nature of your
monitor on your computer the colours may be slightly defferent.
Prices for marquees are based on white cloth. Please add
approximately £250 +5% for coloured cloths and £300
+ 8% for striped marquees. (This pays for the extra cost
of the cloth and the problem of beeing left with 3/4 of
a role of a odd colour)
