The normal size for the marquee pegs I use are 30"x1"
or 760mmx25mm. Pictured in the middle. However as you can
see I can provide many different sizes.
The largest peg on the left hand side is a 40"x1"1/4
and is used for very large marquees. It have a double washer
on the top this is to stop a 2" ratchet strap from
sliding off the top of the peg.
Some times it is impractical to use a very long peg, because
they are very difficult to knock in and then remove. In
such circumanstances several pegs can be used together to
provide more resistance to pull out.The two main methods
of doings this are to make a plate or bar in which you can
attach two or three pegs to one guy rope or alternatively
you can attach the guy rope to the first peg. Then place
another peg behind the first peg and join the top of the
first peg with a rope to the second.
The wooden peg on the left is a brailing peg and is used
to attach marquee walls to the ground, simple but very effective
as depending on where you twist the loop of rope around
the peg you can alter the depth that the peg goes into the
ground.
Type A pegs refer to the middle peg without any washer
on it and type B has a washer on the top of the peg to stop
the guy rope sliding off.
