Different Types of Marquee
Traditional Marquees Framed Marquees

The choice of marquees has never been wider. With different types and sizes to choose from the decision could seem daunting.

Traditional Marquees

The traditional marquee still offers the best solution to many situations. In most cases if it is possible to erect a traditional marquee, it will cost less and look more attractive.

A traditional marquee's height makes linings look better, giving an spacious feeling. The main poles become the mounts for floral decoration.

Because a traditional marquee is tensioned by guy ropes 5' either side of the marquee needs to be allowed.

Please take a look at some more photographs of traditonal marquees.

Framed Marquees

These marquees are useful where there is little space, or the ground is not suitable for anchoring a traditional marquee with pegs. The aluminium frame supports the roof , and the legs are height adjustable for maximum flexibility.

It is also an advantage that they have no main pole, so if maximum space is required or it is impossible to site the main pole (because of a swimming pool or pond),the framed marquee is the one to go for.

Some marquee contractors call this type of marquee a pavilion.

Two or more framed marquees can be butted together with a gutter between them to form a wider marquee. I.e. 2x 30'x50' to make a 60'x50'
